Crocodile Gold's operations are located in the Northern Territory in Australia approximately 90 to 285 kilometres south of the capital city, Darwin. The tenements cover an area of greater than 3,500 square kilometers.
The projects are close to transportation and infrastructure. They are adjacent to the Stuart Highway and the transcontinental railway line which runs from Darwin to Adelaide, and are on the Northern Territory power grid.
Darwin is the administrative centre of the Northern Territory government and a major transportation hub, with an international airport and the closest deep-water port to southeast Asia. The population of Darwin is approximately 120,000 people. The region has a strong mining tradition, and as a result, the mining industry within the region is well understood and supported.
The Northern Territory is a known gold producing region and has produced approximately 11.5 million ounces of gold since the first discovery in 1870 up until 2001. An estimated 3.7 million ounces of gold have been produced specifically from the Crocodile Gold tenement package. There are in excess of 600 documented gold occurrences of potential economic significance.
